Visa Waiver & Duration of Stay

Holders of UAE passports can travel to Thailand without a visa for tourism for a period of up to 60 days. It’s essential that your passport remains valid for at least six months from your date of entry.

You can enter Thailand either by air or land, but arriving by air allows you to take advantage of the full 60-day visa exemption.

If you wish to prolong your visit, you have the option to extend your stay for an additional 30 days at any Thai immigration office, such as those located in Phuket.

Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Starting May 1, 2025, all travellers, including tourists, must fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online at least 72 hours prior to their arrival. This new process replaces the previous paper TM6 form and gathers information regarding your passport, travel plans, and health status.

Financial Requirements

Upon entering Thailand, you will need to provide proof of adequate financial resources, typically amounting to 20,000 THB per individual or 40,000 THB per family (or its equivalent in other currencies). This requirement ensures that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay. Recent updates emphasize this necessity for applicants seeking tourist visas.

To facilitate a seamless entry into Thailand, be prepared with the following documents:

- A return or onward flight ticket
- Evidence of accommodation (such as hotel bookings)
- The QR code from your completed TDAC submission
